"Guys and Dolls"
Theater Performance

This year’s musical will take us back to the days when colorful gambler-types populated the streets around Broadway looking for a fast buck. A musical comedy, Guys and Dolls, features two intersecting love stories: one between Nathan Detroit, who runs the city’s “oldest established floating crap game” and his long suffering fiancee, Adelaide and one between Sky Masterson, the “highest better of them all,” and Sarah Brown, who runs a local mission that aims to “save the souls” of the ‘no-goodniks’ who populate the area. The unlikely romance is set in motion when Nathan bets Sky a thousand bucks that he won’t be able to get Sarah have dinner with him… in Havana. Sky goes all out to win the bet but gets more than he bargained for when he begins to fall for the lovely Miss Sarah. This classic musical has enjoyed many popular revivals and is sure to please families of all ages. Performances are: Feb. 18, 19, 20, 25, 26, and 27 at 7:30 pm. There will be one 2pm matinee on Feb. 20th. Tickets are $8 for students and Senior Citizens and $10 for adults. You can purchase tickets online or stop into the WHS bookkeeper’s office. Tickets will also be available at the door.
