Les Miserables' Auditions

Wilsonville High School’s first production of the school year will be ‘Les Miserables,’ one of the world’s most beloved musicals. This special, “School Edition,” available for production only in schools, is a slightly abridged version of the original musical. Auditions will take place beginning on September 8th, and there are acting opportunities available for younger children and middle and high school aged students.

Most of the characters will be cast from the pool of Wilsonville High School students, but there are several opportunities for younger actors as well. We need a young girl, seven or eight, who can sing, for young Cosette and a young boy, ten to twelve, also who can sing, for Gavroche, the street ‘urchin’ who helps the rebels. In addition to that, ten to fifteen chorus (towns-children) roles are available for students from Boeckman Creek, Boones Ferry, Stafford, Wood and Athey Creek.

Auditions for Wilsonville High School students will take place on Wednesday, September 8th, beginning at 3:30pm. Auditions for elementary and middle school students will take place on Thursday, September 9th beginning at 4pm. A callback audition, if necessary, will take place Friday, September 10th at 4pm. If your child is interested in auditioning, please visit the Wilsonville High School Theatre website, www.wildcatdrama.com or contact Jason Katz at 503-673-4644 or by email at katzj@wlwv.k12.or.us.
